Wolfgang Sievers

Dipl. Ing. Wolfgang Sievers (born 1957) studied mechanical engineering after completing an apprenticeship as a toolmaker. After graduating with a degree in production engineering, he worked as a process planner, plant engineer, project manager and in project management for a well-known automobile manufacturer.

In 2007, he took over responsibility for manufacturing product costing and benchmark data at FACTON, a company that is the market leader in creating a software solution for enterprise product costing.

Since 2011, he has helped implement the cost engineering department in two companies and has been a consultant to the manufacturing sector for decades. He is an expert in the toolset of cost engineering: from pure product and tool cost calculation to product teardown, value stream mapping, fixed cost degression, investment calculation and holistic calculation of TCO. With this knowledge, Mr. Sievers is also responsible for the generation of benchmark data for costing.

Mr. Wolfgang Sievers has thus been shaping the development in industrial production and the accompanying IT for more than 30 years.

Dr. Andy Witt

Dr. rer. nat. Andy Witt (born 1983) studied computer science engineering at the Technical University of Hamburg. He specialized in applied mathematics and applied physics and subsequently worked as a product manager for a large software manufacturer. In 2013, he went back to the university for research and subsequent PhD.

During his studies and scientific research, Andy Witt designed and developed software modules in the area of product costing (process time calculators, logistics calculators, learning curves, integration of AI and fuzzy logic in costing, etc.). Furthermore, he built up a data content and gave user trainings for software around product costs and cost engineering. As a management consultant, he also advised companies on the implementation of various costing tools and can draw on a broad expertise in applied and scientific software programming, cost engineering, as well as database creation and Big Data analysis.

Andy Witt was also a professor of business informatics at the renowned HSBA (Hamburg School of Business Administration) for many years. There, he taught and conducted research in the fields of programming, artificial intelligence, big data, and sustainable and cost-efficient production.

CALC4XL Partner Network

The networks are diverse: On the one hand, there are companies involved in the creation of a software solution for product cost, life cycle assessment (CO2) and tool cost calculations. On the other hand, we have a large user network in various functions, such as purchasing, production, sales and controlling. The third network are the management consultants, who are mainly looking for a simple, easy to understand solution, with which life and transparent calculations can be made at the customer.
